Healthy Tips and Stress Reducers for Parents

  • Get up 15-30 minutes before the family gets up to start the day
  • Keep a calendar and color code for each family member
  • Breath deeply, meditate and/or pray
  • Vacation
  • Make lunches the night before school
  • Reduce or eliminate caffeine, sugars and processed foods and drinks
  • Exercise and Stretch
  • Laugh lots
  • Make things simple
  • Get plenty of sleep
  • Drinks lots of water and take a daily multi-vitamin
  • Journal thoughts, dreams and ideas
  • Find a hobby and have fun
  • Vent and talk to a good friend
  • Take a hot or cool shower to relax
  • Take breaks during the day to refocus
  • Delegate home responsibilities
  • Be positive and be happy
  • Forgive others and yourself, no one is perfect
  • Take one day at a time
