Monterey Peninsula Foundation awards DHHSC for 20-months!

By Jesse Lewis, Project Director

We have fantastic news to share! Monterey Peninsula Foundation, host of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and a longtime supporter of DHHSC and the community we serve, has decided to fund our grant proposal for our Communication Access Program (CAP). We applied for a 10-month grant, but they decided instead to award us $30,000 for 20 months!

The CAP provides: interpreting for our Client Services Specialist in the Central Coast Outreach office in Salinas, who provides a wide variety of our core services; communication services to our Deaf and Hard of Hearing Community; and 6 communication-focused workshops per year. All services are provided out of the Central Coast Outreach office.

We look forward to having another successful grant program continuing these services that have benefited our community, and truly appreciate Monterey Peninsula Foundation’s support.
