Fansler Foundation Awards $23,250 for Deaf Thrive program!

Thank you, Fansler Foundation, for another year of support! We are thrilled to receive new grant funding for our Deaf Thrive program, which Fansler Foundation has generously supported many times!

DEAF Thrive is divided into three service categories from our Family Services Program that are intended to assist Deaf and Hard of Hearing youth thrive in life: Our Literacy services, our Reaching Out and Communicating with our Kids who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing (ROCK) services, which focuses on IEP advocacy and providing communication-building sessions for parents with Deaf and Hard of Hearing children, though we also provide services to Deaf parents with hearing children, and our Youth Employment Services (YES!) services, which provides group presentations, hands-on activities, and information and resources to Deaf and Hard of Hearing middle and high school students, to begin preparing them for their future careers and/or higher education.

Clearly, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, these services have needed to be adjusted to primarily be provided online through either one-on-one video conferencing or in platforms like ZOOM. Although this is a major change, we remain confident in the quality of these services.

Please join us in expressing thanks to Fansler Foundation!
